All bentwood boxes are made by Moy himself. The bentwood box has been used on the Pacific Northwest Coast for eons. A single board has channels cut into it and then is steamed and bent into a box, then a bottom is added. The 4 sides of the box are a single board. Each bentwood box by Moy is an original artwork and they can be simple to highly ornate with masks added on and inlay. Typical wood used for bentwood boxes is red cedar, yellow cedar, and yew wood.
